Now onto the boys. Teddy and Charlie are so sweet, kind, funny, spirited and totally unique. I have such respect for them and want to spend all my time with them. Watching them play soccer, for instance, and watching Charlie play the guitar and read and listening to Teddy’s massive understanding of the world around him impresses me so much. Awesome awesome guys.

Ok that was my bragging for the day.

I kind of thought maybe the girls would be tomboys because they have older brothers but no. They are who they are and so much more like me than I would have guessed. I’m really honored and flattered to even say that because they are awesome and there are no other ladies in the world I would rather hang out with.

Charlie’s Notebuster concert featuring music from Mary Pippins and Sound of Music was Sunday. Hearing those children sing was so lovey. Watching Charlie good around on stage was cute even though he should have been paying attention. The girls sang along and danced in the aisle. Go on Charlie!

I thought when I’m a grandmother I will want to go by Gran Louise. But I’ve changed my mind and have decided I will go by Lovey Lou.

I was walking Roland the horse this morning after a ride and letting him eat grass. It was so lovely and peaceful as usual and I was thinking about how great it is to be on farms and around different horses so you can think about what animals all over the world need. Yes a little bit of a large topic, but nonetheless…like we have lots of grass here for them to gaze on. Droughts really are tough on horses. I knew that of course but one rarely thinks about that sort of thing.

I love summer evening turn out when the horses are in the stalls during the day so that I can see all the ones I love when walking down the aisle. I’m sitting outside the barn with Huck at my side and am so happy and peaceful. Heaven.

I’ve been reading about artists who serve seated family-style lunches in their studios for everyone working there. That’s my kind of work environment. I wish they did that everywhere-in schools, businesses, wherever. It would make everyone so much calmer, more civilized and friendlier.
