I love everything about this lemonade stand. Charlie is an excellent proprietor. Teddy is excellent at keeping things lighthearted.

Teddy went with his class to the Natural History Museum today and I got to go with them. It was so much fun. They were so cute and excited and so well behaved. Teddy was very excited. “Mommy! It’s my first time on a school bus.”  And made me hold him near the mummies because he was afraid. I learned so much from Darrell. He wasn’t worried about taking the children into a crowded museum or about making sure the saw this or that. He kept watch, knew we would keep them in sight and trusted them to choose what they wanted to see. When I pointed out that the boys in our group wanted to watch movies and screens more than any other parts of the exhibits, rather than saying something like “too much screen time,” like some would say in a complaint tone, he said “Yes they are just mesmerized by it. ”

We’ve been listening to the Hardy Boys books in the car.

Charlie “They have really good ideas how to catch bad guys. Obama should use some of these ideas. We should write to Obama to tell him this.”
