ALB “Did you like the camel ride today?”
Charlie “yeah but I wish it was longer.”
ALB “Well maybe one day we could take a long camel ride in the dessert in Egypt and see the pyramids.”
Charlie “No. I don’t want to.”
ALB “Maybe one day you’ll change your mind and we will go.”
Charlie “No. I’m afraid of pyramids. They have traps and dangerous stuff. There are mummies.”
ALB “It is true that that was how they were built but now they are really a place for visitors to go see and aren’t scary and there are museum-type people to make sure there is no danger to you. And mummies…”
Charlie “Yeah. I don’t want to go. There is no water to drink there and I would be really thirsty. I just want to go on a long camel ride near here.”

A free-spirit with a great sense of responsibility.
The life of a party with a great sense of decorum.
These are two ways of living I really admire.

Nelly is crying because Teddy shot Huck with a water gun. “Don’t hurt my doggy. Them shoot my doggy. I really sad. Teddy is very very not nice at my doggy.”
Good girl, Nelly, sticking up for animals.

I don’t think I’ve ever been as happy and as comfortable as I am now in this house with my family-the kids running in and out, hanging out in the garden, lovely neighbors, walk to school, friends dropping at all times of the day, impromptu get togethers, growing plants. Blissful.
