As a November recap…Charlie got a skateboard for his birthday and had a great soccer party at Jelleffmmand most exciting has continues to learn to read in his curious cats classroom, we had fun at our annual thanksgiving donuts in the park and football/soccer party we hosted with the Millers, worked on giving to those in need at our annual Fifth Night of Hannuka party that we host with the Wolins at Sprinkles Cupcakes, I fell in love with the third grade class I teach Roots of Empathy and became dedicated to the program, rode horses and went to yoga, MJ built our house, Teddy took lots of selfies and learned Spanish at Mi Casa, took gymnastics, took swimming lessons at Wilson and had play date after play date and the girls loved every minute of Blue Igloo and hanging out with friends and. went to a dance party at a nightclub…

I totally feel Scottie’s total enthusiasm and exuberance about everything. Maybe she inherited from me. She goes around saying “I lub this house! I lub it! I lub BlueIgloo! Lub Thomas!!”

Nelly is one brilliant baby and tells me all sorts of causes and effects, tells me lists of what she has done and what she wants. Today “Christmas. So get present. Open wrapping. Merrrrmaid costume me. Princess costume Scottie. Um Lego boys. No knight dress-knights pants and shirt. Daddy something prince. “

Scottie reminds me of Mama Bayly as I’ve mentioned before…her high spirits, her positive and can-do attitude, her love of sweets and now her dislike of sleeping on pillows.

The littles in this house, Jenny and Johanna and all my dear dear friends have taken care of me recovering. Having MJ go away right after surgery was probably not a great idea but Huck did an excellent job filling in.

Felt good enough to sweep leaves off the sidewalk with a child-size broom this morning.

I think I’m subconsciously dressing in a mother-daughter style with the girls. Or maybe on days when I want navy everyone is wearing it.
