I got the honor and pleasure of introducing Teddy’s good friend Kitty Kelley at a library event last night and the chief librarian of DC, during her own remarks, referenced the bit I told her about telling Teddy he could watch a movie and him asking if we got it at the library. So glad they live the library.

Two days ago I got to go on an amazing tour of children’s hospital during we had there for babylove. We are starting a partnership to give Dr Bear stuffed animals to every child who has surgery there (along with clean underwear to those who don’t have it). I’m beyond excited about this. We are going to call it Teddy’s Bear Project (Teddy’s love of his own DR Bear and Dr Shah who he hugged the last time we were in the hospital knows no bounds). The work they do is amazing. Sarah and I saw infant heart surgery, brain surgery and others. So glad I’m no longer squeamish and was able to see this- it is heart warming and awe inspiring. I’m so honored we can help them.

Charlie and Teddy were really excited to have me pick them up from school early to go to Ice and see Shrek and make a Gingerbread house. The girls liked it but the boys really liked it. There were all lukewarm on meeting Santa. We stood in line behind one family for only about two seconds and during that wait Charlie said “Ok I’m done seeing Santa now. ” Also just as he did last year, Santa helpfully have the kids other ideas of thins they’d want that they hadn’t thought to ask for. Thanks so much.
Teddy tried at one point to run off and jump into a fountain. When he tried to do it again the very observant Santas helper said “Teddy is going rogue again.”
Everyone was in bed before 7 (but not after all four of them laid on me while watching a movie kicking each other to get more of my lap).

Teddy upon seeing a slug on the sidewalk “a slug goes into a pinecone and comes out and is a butterfly!” So smartly incorrect.
