Charlie and Teddy loved going to Granpa’s 70t birthday party and really loved the cake Hannah and Milly has Ace of Cakes make for him with everyone’s picture on it. My favorite parts were hanging out with Hannah and Milly, watching Charlie dance and MJ give an incredible toast (he is so good at that). Scottie and Nell got to meet their great aunt and uncle at brunch the next day.
The girls have been sleeping for the most part through the night for the past few weeks. Last night Nell woke up at 3 and cried until about 5:30. I rocked her, patted her, tried everything and she wouldn’t stop until I held her while I laid on their (freezing) nursery floor. Shockingly she didn’t wake anyone else up. And on the up side, if I was going to be up all night at least I got to hold a cute little baby.
The other day we came in the house and MJ took a crying Teddy up to nap, I ran into the other room, Huck was barking and the babies were crying. I had to run downstairs to grab something and when I came back up Charlie was sitting in between the two babies, holding a pacifier in ones mouth and rocking the other in her car seat. It was the sweetest thing I had ever seen. Charlie is so amazing.
Charlie and Teddy got their Halloween costumes last week and I have never seen them as excited about something before. They have worn them every day and they are already falling apart. I bought back ups in case their are ruined by Halloween and so friends can come over and dress up too. Charlie keeps telling people when he has his Spiderman mask on “Don’t be scared, it’s just me Charlie!” So cute.
Tyler was telling Charlie the other day about the sandman and how he comes into your house at night, leaves a pinch of sand in your eyes, and leaves. Charlie said “He needs to go to jail.”
