Tonight I told Charlie that tomorrow is his first day of school. A visible shudder of joy went through him and he threw his hands in the air saying “Hooray hooray!! I need to go tell Siri! Can I put out my clothes for tomorrow?” Right before he got into bed he said ” Tomorrow I’m going to see my teachers and tell them thank you for the stickers and picture [they sent in the mail].” I am beaming with joy that he is so thoughtful. He had never gone to bed so quickly knowing tomorrow he could go to school. So so sweet. I love him.

Charlie kisses the babies every morning and when he hears them cry will run to one and sing a little to her then to the other then back to the first. So sweet.

I love when Teddy asks “Matter?” to see if you are ok and when he says “Weeee” when you pick him up and spin him around or when he swings.

Before leaving for MJ’s lacrosse game, Charlie asked our night nurse Emily, “Do you want to see my daddy’s special lacrosse underwear?” The answer was “No.”

Yesterday as the hurricane was approaching we went for a long walk–it was so nice out and there was no one on the streets–except a really long line outside Georgetown Cupcake. Huck spotted a cat in the window from the flower shop where MJ buys me beautiful flowers.

We walked around the block the other day with only the babies in the stroller and the boys walking. It took 45 minutes.
