I took Charlie to a candy store yesterday so I could check it out for work. He opened up a bin and took a chocolate covered Oreo that the store owner let him have. Then he asked for another chocolate wrapped in foil to keep for later. He held it tightly in his hand as we walked out of the store. I told him that we would have to put it somewhere safe r else it would melt like butter. I think that finally made him realize that butter melting is an ok thing (previously he has gotten upset when butter melts on his toast because he thinks it is gone).
Yesterday Teddy walked more than crawled for the first time. He almost never crawls now.
Charlie keeps saying “Halloween’s coming.” And talks about his costume. Every day it is something different–he goes back and forth between football, basketball, and lacrosse player. For his nap today he took his football uniform pants to sleep in his crib with him.
I have no idea why, but T&C have been fighting over a postcard from Maine that Rachel and Skip sent us. It has been going on for two weeks. Whenever T is holding it, C snatches it and takes it away. If C has it, T will grab it and then crawl over to my lap looking for safety.
