Charlie, Teddy, Huck and I went to Dupont Circle at 8 this morning for the World Cup screening and celebration that was going on. Charlie was so excited that everyone else was excited about soccer. He was yelling and cheering, dancing to music, kicking a soccer ball around, playing with the other kids there. Teddy tried to eat flowers and crawl into the basket under the stroller.

Charlie saw a really pretty-some might say “hot”-20-something girl walking down the street yesterday in a short skirt and cute top and he leaned out of his stroller and waved at her enthusiastically yelling “Hi!! Hi!!! Girl! Hi!!” Starts early.

Charlie had his adenoids taken out and tubes put in his ears Tuesday morning. He was so brave and there wasn’t any crying until the very end. When he went into the room for anesthesia he wanted to take with him a Coach John tee shirt and a tee shirt Mitzy brought him from a trip. Very cute. Afterwards he told me he wanted to go to “Donalds” for a milkshake which was shocking because he has only been there about 2 times in his life. We took him to Thomas Sweet. Drank a milkshake, ate a big lunch, took a nap, then put on his doctor coat and listened to me and Teddy with his stethoscope, saying “A little cold. Thanks Dr. Shah.”and by 5 pm was jumping around with his guitar and shouting songs “Bob Marley!” Also his voice is so much clearer.

Teddy is definitely saying Dada. And definitely refusing to eat baby food or even little pieces of food. Only wants what C has.
