Day 6 of MJ in France: We really miss M. And I really wish we were in France for Paul and Laurence’s wedding. I’m so sad not to be there…should have gone!!

Day 5 of MJ in France: I don’t think I’ve ben this tired ever. Maybe the day after Charlie was born, but not sure even then.
Day 4 of MJ in France: I can say with near certainty that I’ve never been so tired. Some is from the act of missing MJ. Some if from taking care of T&C. Having MJ away has made them more clinging if that was possible. T wouldn’t let me put him down so I even had to hold him while I brushed my teeth.
Day 3 of MJ in France: We really really miss him. Charlie of course asked where he was alot today and said, “So sad, I miss my Daddy.” Then he added, “Teddy thinking about it. Teddy not so happy.” When MJ called T, C, and H were really siked.
Day two of MJ in France: We really miss him. Charlie asked me to “go find Daddy,” three different times. And I know if Teddy could talk he would say he was so sad he didn’t get to spend his first father’s day with his father. I think in the end MJ was right (as usual, I can’t believe I’m saying it) that we should have gone with him.
Today MJ left for a week in France. It was so sad because we are going to miss him more than one can imagine and because we will miss getting to see friends like Mike and Jo and Paul and Laurence. We just thought it would be too much travel for such a short stay for the boys. I fear I have made the wrong choice. Not having their father around has thrown them into a tailspin. Charlie keeps looking for MJ and then refused to nap and screamed for about an hour this afternoon–so much that Elena called from next door to see if everything was ok. So embarrassing. Then when we returned from a birthday party (where he ate about 20 lollipops) he had the biggest meltdown of his career. He was mad because I wouldn’t let him have more candy. He was so hysterical it made Teddy cry and I had to call the neighbors to tell them not to worry. When I finally calmed him down, he was totally fine and happily went off to sleep.
