Charlie and Reed started a band. It’s pretty cool.

Teddy went swimming for the first time today.

Charlie and Teddy’s beloved babysitters Grace and Mareil graduated from Georgetown the other week. I cried.

Teddy loves flying around with Jenny.

Charlie said he liked to “crunch” the stones when he went to visit Mama with Jenny.

Teddy’s current favorite activity is pointing, a la the Creation in the Sistine Chapel.

Yesterday Charlie “graduated” from Blue Igloo. I cried.

I ordered a custom tee shirt from Cafe Press. I think their address label machine is broken because the mailman just showed up with about 30 packages that other people had ordered and they were all accidently send to me. I had to open all to find the one that I had actually ordered. Among your standard “Great Dads are promoted to Gradndads” and “World’s best cousin” tees and “Sherri is moving to Las Vegas” thongs, were some real gems like the “Science. It works, bitches” tee shirt and the series of really offensive political shirts. I now know that Cafe Press needs to fix their labeling machine and that there are some totally insane people out there buying tee shirts in really large sizes.

Charlie asked me to help him put some cards away in his room then said “Thank you Mommy helping me clean up. Good job. Big mess.”

When requesting toothpaste or sauce, Charlie has been specifying “Not spicy kind, happy kind please.”
