Last weekend for MJ’s birthday we had a pub crawl and invited people to our house first. Charlie went wild–he loves entertaining. He ran around talking to people and then started joking by putting a slice of American on his head and saying “Look cheese hat.” He hearts his friend Zoe.

On the way into the bath tonight, Charlie yelled over to Teddy’s room, where he was crying in his crib, “Night baby.”

I took Charlie to tour a preschool we are applying to and during the little snack time, he leaned back in his chair and said “Charlie happy.” He is very interested in who is happy and often points out, “Charlie/baby happy, no crying.”

The other day Charlie was having a little tantrum and Teddy started crying and wouldn’t stop til we sat him right next to Charlie, where he immediately started smiling despite Charlie’s crying. Guess Teddy just likes to be with Charlie.

Today a friend, Sarah, was visiting and Teddy spit up so we wiped it up. Charlie came running in and said “Spit out” and drooled on himself so that we would wipe him off too. I wish there was something less gross that he could copy.

Charlie’s favorite foods right now: pizza, cookies, clementines, oatmeal, guacamole, rice. Though he talks about wine and coffee a lot, he never gets them (but he did get to drink hot chocolate out of a tea cup when Colin came over).

Teddy’s favorite foods right now: breast milk, infant oatmeal, baby guacamole (milk and avocado mixed together), and pureed carrots and sweet potatoes. He doesn’t really mention any others since.
Charlie always puts his napkin on his lap and is really into spoons.
Teddy likes to hold one spoon while I feed him with another, but sometimes he sticks it too far into his mouth and gags

As of yesterday, Teddy can sit up for about 10 seconds on his own.

When Charlie says “Two feet laage” that means he wants you to rub both feet at once.
