Yesterday Charlie went to the Ringling Bros. Barnum Bailey circus and had what was probably the most fun he has ever had. He was enthralled for the entire 2 hour show, clapping, and asking for more (by saying “more”). The horses, motorcycles, and border collies seemed to be his favorite parts. He also loved just hanging out in the box with his cousins Hannah and Milly (who he kept hugging and trying to kiss). And he had cotton candy but wouldn’t eat it at first, I guess because it was so convincing as cotton.

Today Charlie fell in love with the Natural History Museum, Rice Krispie Treats, and Guitar Hero. And he learned how to go down a full set of stairs backwards all by himself.

Charlie will also move towards the stairs if you tell hi that it is time for bath or bed. He is such an eager little bather and sleeper.

Charlie has been feeding himself using a spoon and fork totally for about 2 weeks now. He can even get peas on a fork. Long noodles are eluding him though.

1. asking for the sports page every morning–when the paper comes in he immediately says “the ball” so that he can get the sports section and look at photos with basketballs in them during breakfast.
2.i forget

Charlie just had a really nice dinner at his current favorite restaurant, Murasaki. He loves the food (gyoza, noodles, rice, tempura),  people who work there, the whole scene.

Today was Charlie’s first real snow day. Liberal leave policy was in effect so he went to the park where he played with the dogs, fell a lot, got totally covered in snow, and figured out how to walk in boots.

Charlie has recently been into

brushing his teeth
reading books
blowing kisses
giving hugs
carrying around the lacrosse stick
playing his guitar
playing with Huck
going in the sand box
and reading the sports page (he does this every morning to point out photos of basketballs)
